Shelf case 1 of 2

Description

I made a 3 part shelf system for my room to free up some space. I couldn't get a full shot so had to get 2 pictures of it. I think it came out pretty decent since I made it out of a bunch of scrap pieces of wood. The 3 parts aren't connected so each can be moved separately. The middle tv stand I made about a year ago so ignore that :) Just focus on the left shelf and top shelf in this picture xD

Took me 3 days to make and paint.

Wow Bri this is really good. Aside from the top shelf being a little too long for the one side I think you did a really good job. Make me shelving!

Also I was going to text you about this butI think this would be easier because typing is faster but...I don't think Tammy has a lot of time left. I took her to the vet Friday to have an oral exam under sedation in order to get a tooth removed that was bothering her. I thought she had an abscess. Well when they did the exam they were really concerned with what they found. The Dr. called me and told me that where it's positioned and the size looks like a very aggressive form of cancer commonly found in cats called Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma. We haven't gotten the test results from the biopsy yet but she was so sure that's what it was, she told me I had the option of not waking her up from the anesthesia...
They did a head xray and she said it has gotten to her sinuses and the bone in the surrounding area :(. I believe that she doesn't have much time left. Just the end of May we took her to a different vet for her eye and the bit of swelling she'd been having around her face and that doctor looked in her mouth and didn't see anything. Exactly a month later I take her to a different vet and they can't even get her to open her mouth because it's so painful for her. So they put her on antibiotics for two weeks and were hoping that would make the swelling go down enough so they could do an oral exam without sedation. Well after two weeks the antibiotics weren't doing such a great job...so Monday we made an appointment for them to do an oral exam under sedation. Friday we brought her in and I had to leave her there all day. But sometime in the afternoon the doctor called me very concerned about the lump in her mouth. She said there was a lot of swelling and a lot of bleeding, and the swelling surrounded two of her largest teeth on the one side. That's also when she told me about her concern that it was cancerous.

Mike and I have been a real mess since getting this news. We both love her so much. Tammy has always been such a sweet cat. Never given me any problems...and she's probably been my friend longer than anyone and she's seen me through a lot of rough times. I read up on the type of cancer it is likely she has and although it's so common, it's rarely treatable. Typically cats only have two months left to live once they're diagnosed. The area she has it in (upper jaw) is not an area where they can do surgery and remove it. The only way it's treatable is if it's caught early, and we are definitely too late. Right now we're just doing our best to cater to her and make her comfortable until we can tell she's not enjoying life anymore. The past couple days have been incredible rough, but she seems to be pretty perky as of this morning. She's finally come completely out of the anesthesia - that was hard to watch, she was stumbling around for awhile. I had to sleep on the kitchen floor with her the first night so she wouldn't try to jump up on anything because she had already fallen down the stairs (slipped right through my arms when I tried to stop her) and she had already tried to jump up on the couch (again slipping through my arms) and fallen. Today she's been eating, soft foods only now for the rest of her life since she's missing teeth. She's been jumping up on things okay and looking like her normal self. Some of the swelling is gone since they pulled the teeth and took away some of the growth so she looks better. I've been having to give her this really nasty liquid pain medication. It's just really horrible. She foams and she chokes a little because it tastes so bad...anyway. That's the main update in my life right now. Just going to be watching her carefully from now on.
